Doğal arena kankanın altın kapısı olarak Marmaris, anılar ve kültürüyle geride bıraktığı birikimi ile hedeflerin de gerçekleşmesini sağlıyor. İlimizde “hocalık” veya “oynaş” geleneksel güreş türlerinin önemli bir türü olmakta. Bakanlıklarımızın “halkbilim, halk kültürü” işbirliği yeni paradigmasında pek çok halkta halkbilim bağlamında değerlerini ve onlara katkısını ortaya koymaktadır. Anadolu Havzası’nın meydan güreşleri bölgesi olarak önemli bir yere sahip Türkiye Cumhuriyetinin iletişim onlardan aktif olarak faydalanıyor.

For twenty years, this sport has spread to the remote corners of the province by the promotion of the Marmaris Youth and Sports programs. Based on this exciting interest, youth and sports organizations in cooperation with Marmaris Municipality, invented the first Marmaris Yağlı Wrestling Tournament.
