My name is Erik Alexander Lindh Eriksson. I'm Swedish and born in January 1987.



As a Swedish, I find it interesting to know about news from Turkey. Today I was searching on Google. I found an article that was published on 14 January 2018 by Ayça Sönmez from Duisburg.



I read the article on that link and found the following text:







My name is Ramazan Yılmaz.



I'm Turkish citizen. I was born in Demirci, Kütahya in 1970. I'm 48 years old.



I'm being facing law suit no: 2018/287, which my e-mail adress as it is stated on the computer forensic reports containing my 22 september 2017 fax and writes sent to administration of Manisa, Turkey.



I'm a journalist and I was working for 2 newspapers, owned by Alaattin Guven, in Manisa, Turkey. I was managing newspapers. I started working for the first newspaper in 1993. And until 2003, I was working for 4 newspapers owned by Guven brothers (Alaattin Guven, Nevzat Guven and Oğuz Çetiin). I worked a lot on these newspapers. In 2003, Alaattin Guven confiscated the entire share of the newspapers and the newspapers closed down. Afterwards, I applied for work for newspapers owned by Alaattin Guven again. This application was refused. And after 2014, I was working for a newspaper and a national daily newspaper owned by the socialist party. Later on, the censorship of newspaper came on. I was working as a reporter in two newspapers. The newspapers were constantly including news reports, news, editorials, and interviews with Yazıcıoğlu brothers. They were also publishing historical reports which brought public favor and in Demirci, they made festivals outdoors. One day the reports covering a wide range of controversial issues, including Halil Yazıcıoğlu's drug involvement, were printed in the newspaper. On the same day the staff of Mainz suspected and Cemal Yazıcıoğlu's older brother suggested to take out reporters and new owners took over the newspapers. By the 4th of January 2016, I was out. Since then I have been filing legal claim. More than 9 applications of claim against the censorship and against the Yazıcıoğlu's lawyer who published the statement of law suit. Because my claims were denied for protection by the court. I'm still waiting to take step through the European Court of Human Rights.



I want to appeal to free press and human rights organizations in Europe and to mark the press and human rights pages to the European Union and to Turkish citizens. Turkey is one of the countries of press freedom. I'm imprisoned in the case that is related to the culture and journalism. I'm being harassed, also beaten, getting death threats, living in fear since 22 september and I can not leave my house anymore.

Hello Erik,



The article is about a Turk named Ramazan Erdogan (Yilmaz). You mixed him up with another Erdogan.



He send you with attachments he submitted to the Turkish authorities. All of those was denied by the Turkish authorities. So the information that was sent to Europe was deliberately twisted and modified.



Please check the backdated letter in which European Union, European Court of Human Rights and United Nations mentioned the torture and deaths in Turkey happened just after situation were made in the government changed.



The journalist in Turkey recieved letters of death threat, their homes were broke into and an intruder gun shot their children.
